ABOUT MAGMA
OUR GOAL IS TO REDEFINE THE DESIGN LANGUAGE OF ARCHITECTURE & INTERIOR DESIGN.
Magma Studio is a brand new spin-off from Kreate 3D where the main focus lies on architecture and interior design. We use innovative technologies such as 3D printing and computational design to create renewing and sustainable design objects. The combination of these two technologies generate organic geometries that are unique.

Anthony & Simon are two of a kind; they are complementary in everything they do or think. Both of them are continuously searching for new challenges and experiences to expand their expertise in design and 3D printing. They love to think out of the box and express their creative thoughts in physical creations.

Anthony is the business and technology expert of Magma Studio. He masters design thinking and harmonizes computational design with 3D printing to create unique and refreshing objects.
SIMON DESIMPELAERE
CO-FOUNDER
Simon is the architect, operational supervisor and creative eruption behind Magma Studio. He masters the design language and formality to bring ideas and abstract concepts to a higher level.

THE DESIGN AND PRINTING OF COMPLEX GEOMETRIES
All our interior design objects are completely 3D printed and created by in-house parametric design. Fluent and organic shapes from Magma must give a feeling of inner calmness and serenity to its users and interior.
USING ONLY RECYCLED AND CIRCULAR MATERIALS
We refuse to put more pressure on our already vulnerable and precious planet. That’s why we decided from the very beginning to only work with recycled materials such as plastic food waste, old fishing nets, and biodegradable wood. Some of our creations receive a finishing touch such as circular wood or marble remnants.
CREATING UNIQUENESS
We often wonder how can we implement the fascinating and unique structures and shapes of 3D printing into our homes. We try to rethink traditional interior design objects layer by layer. All of our creations can exceptionally be manufactured with 3D printing. In that way all of our products are unique.

In order to process the plastic waste into a new reusable raw material, it must be thoroughly cleaned and dried.

When the plastic waste is clean and completely dry, it is ground by a machine into smaller granules.

EXTRUDING & SPOOLING
The small crushed pieces of plastic are melted into a liquid mass. This mass is then pressed through a cylindrical nozzle and extruded into wire. The pressed wire is wound onto a roll. This roll of wire can be used directly for 3D printing.

DESIGN & 3D PRINT
Once a digital 3D model has been created and the roll of wire has been loaded into the 3D printer, printing can begin.
